BREAKING: Tommy Robinson Freed From Prison in UK After Winning Appeal

Ed. It's a safe bet that more information will eventually escape the Gestapo-like censorship of British authorities.

And it's a SURE bet that the monstrous tactics employed by the British government in railroading Tommy Robinson would be NOTHING compared to the tyranny of our own Big Brother had the left ever succeeded in disarming the American people. When Brits meekly gave away their right to keep and bear arms, the rest of the rights predictably went along with it. We have not-and must NEVER-make the same mistake.

Tommy Robinson has been freed on bail after appealing his imprisonment for contempt of court.

A 13 month sentence was imposed on the same day as Robinson’s arrest in May for filming outside a grooming gang trial in Leeds. On Wednesday it was struck down by Lord Chief Justice Burnett and two other judges.

Robinson’s lawyers said in a statement that the Attorney General will now decide if a Crown Court should hold a rehearing in the contempt proceedings.

Immediately following the independent journalist’s arrest and rapid imprisonment, articles about the incident were quickly scrubbed from the internet due to the British government putting a gag order in place banning any reporting on the matter. The gag was ultimately lifted after being challenged by media in the U.K.

Robinson’s reporting is heavily focused on Islamic extremism and he has had several run-ins with law enforcement over his live streaming. His imprisonment stemmed from an arrest last year, also for contempt of court, after trying to film Muslims who had been accused of pedophilia outside a court in Canterbury.

Lord Burnett said the court was allowing his appeal “in respect of the committal for contempt at Leeds Crown Court.”

“The appellant is granted bail and the matter of contempt at Leeds Crown Court is remitted to be heard again,” Lord Burnett added.

According to Ezra Levant of Rebel Media, who was present at the hearing, the only condition of Robinson’s release is that he attend any re-hearing of his Leeds contempt case.

Since his arrest, thousands of people have taken to the streets to protest and demand his freedom.
