Hat Tip: Jerry Todd
Two alligators were sitting at the side of the swamp near the lake.
The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, "I can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same age; we were the same size as kids. I just don't get it."
"Politicians, same as you," replied the small gator.
"Hmm.....Well, where do you catch them?"
"Down the other side of the swamp near the parking lot by the Capitol."
"Same here. Hmm.... How do you catch them?"
"Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out, grab them by the leg, shake the sh*t out of them and eat'em!"
"Same here." says the big gator. "Do you eat Democrats or Republicans?" "I eat the Democrats" says the little guy.
"Ah!" says the big gator. "I think I see your problem. You're not getting any real nourishment. You see, by the time you finish shaking the sh*t out of a Democrat, there's nothing left but an a**hole and a briefcase.”

Army Ranger and Benghazi survivor Kris Paronto shredded David Hogg’s attempt to blame school shootings on gun ownership.
Remeber a time when there wasn't a school shooting every week? I don't because I wasn't alive.
Paronto responded with a tweet that showed Hogg in a vagina hat and allowed the former Army Ranger to correct the record:
I remember, it was before your generation started shooting up the schools David, even though we still had guns. Thank you for confirming..again...that it’s not the gun, it’s person, and in particular you & your peers millennial culture. @davidhogg111 #whenhoggsaysstupidshit #2A
The Daily Wire reports that Paronto “was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the attack in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, helping to save nearly two dozen lives during the siege for over 13 hours.”
In 2015 Paronto told KETV that he and his men were ready to go “five minutes in” to receiving word that the Benghazi consulate was under attack, but were told to “wait.”

PARIS (AP) — Police on Wednesday cleared out about 1,000 people from the largest makeshift migrant camp in the French capital, which became a focal point in France’s immigration debate.
The mainly African migrants were moved out of their tent camp along a canal used by joggers and cyclists on Paris’ northeast edge, put in buses and taken to gymnasiums in the region as bulldozers ripped out the tents. Several hundred migrants apparently fled before the evacuation.
Two migrants drowned this month in canals along encampments and others have been injured amid rising tensions in the filthy, crowded camps, adding pressure for authorities to act. But the evacuation was delayed for months amid bickering over what to do with the migrants.
“To stay one month here is very, very, very bad for me. All the people have sicknesses and not have food,” said Farouk Ahmed from Sudan.
The encampment held at least 1,400 migrants, local officials have said, but 1,016 were evacuated. Two other makeshift camps in Paris holding some 1,000 migrants are expected to be cleared next week.
Police have cleared out some 28,000 migrants from Paris camps in the past three years, but the arrivals continue.
President Emmanuel Macron wants a tough response to migrants arriving in France. Two days ago, he nevertheless opened the way to citizenship and a job for a Malian migrant who scaled a building and saved a young child dangling from a balcony in what Macron called “an exceptional act.” A video of Mamoudou Gassama’s feat went viral, gaining him the nickname “Spiderman.”
“This is very good for refugees … refugees are helping people,” Ahmed said of Gassama’s heroism, claiming that the French regard refugees as “bad.”
A migrant from Chad who was moved to a shelter said he had applied for asylum — meaning he should not have been living in an encampment.
“It has been hard here. It’s dirty. There is no toilet. No shower to wash in … You don’t eat well here,” Ousmane Tahir said.
Quick now, What do the "Migrants" Have in Common?
The camps have been at the heart of a political debate between French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo over how to handle migrants. The mayor and dozens of associations pressed for the migrants to be sheltered once dislodged from their encampments, as in the past. The minister dragged his feet.
Hidalgo, who has paid weekly visits to the encampment, said she felt good that the migrants were being taken to shelters, but “I think we could have done without the four-month wait.”
City Hall says it has spent 30 million euros ($34.8 million) since 2015 helping refugees, bolstering state aid, as well as 80 million euros each year on isolated minors.
“This is an issue of dignity,” said Pierre Henry, head of an aid group, France Terre D’Asile. “Street camps should not exist in our country.”

Firearms aren’t common in the U.K., so they are experiencing an epidemic of “knife crime.” Also acid attacks. Now proposals for knife control are being floated:
Judge Nic Madge made the ruling
A judge wants the points of kitchen knives to be rounded and blunted to reduce the number of young men dying from stab wounds in street attacks.
Judge Nic Madge said ordinary kitchen knives were causing a “soaring loss of life”, rather than more heavily regulated large-bladed weapons.
Knife crime rose by 22% in England and Wales in 2017, according to the Office for National Statistics.
“Kitchens contain lethal knives which are potential murder weapons and only butchers and fishmongers need eight or 10 inch kitchen knives with points,” the judge said.
Monty Python's Terry Jones; a far more qualified Brit jurist
Much like discussion in the U.S. about whether people “need” guns.
He wants manufacturers to produce knives with rounded points for domestic use and those with points to be sold under strict rules.
I take it the “strict rules” would be a ban on sales to anyone other than butchers and fishmongers. Or maybe buyers would have to register their sharp-pointed knives, for whatever good that might do. It all makes sense, I guess, if you think the cause of “knife crime” is knives.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) is "considering another run for the presidency," his 2016 campaign manager said Tuesday.
During an interview on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal," Jeff Weaver was asked whether voters would get another shot to choose Sanders in 2020.
"Voters in Vermont certainly will coming up in November," Weaver said. "Nationally, you know, he is considering another run for the presidency. When the time comes I think we’ll have an answer to that, but right now, he’s still considering it."
Sanders mounted a strong challenge to Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Democratic nomination, winning 22 primaries and caucuses against the well-funded frontrunner. His influence is apparent in the recent embrace of a single-payer "Medicare for all" health insurance program by numerous top Democrats, which Sanders has long espoused.
He told MSNBC's Al Sharpton last month he hadn't made up his mind about a White House bid yet. He said he would support whoever had the best chance of defeating President Donald Trump.
"I want more than anything to see that Trump is defeated, and what I will assess at the proper time is who is the best candidate, and I mean that sincerely," Sanders said. "Everybody has an ego. I have an ego. But what is most important for this country is that we come together, to transform America … and to defeat Donald Trump."
Sanders is expected to cruise to re-election to his Vermont Senate seat this November. He won easily in his two prior Senate elections in 2006 and 2012.
