Pruitt Is Deconstructing The EPA Down To The Very Stationery It Uses
The following article appeared in the Daily Caller on April 11th
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt wanted to wipe the EPA insignia off department office supplies and souvenirs like he’s been cutting its influence and regulations.
Pruitt wanted to take the EPA seal, which he complained looked like a marijuana leaf, off department notebooks, pens, stationery and commemorative coins. He suggested replacing the logo with his name and adding a buffalo and Bible verse, to represent his home state and his faith, to the medallion, sources told TheNYT.
In the end, the office stationery and supplies retained the seal. The coins were never ordered, EPA Spokesman Jahan Wilcox told TheNYT.
Pruitt, who served as attorney general of Oklahoma before accepting the post at the EPA, fought the EPA for most of his previous career. Pruitt previously agreed in a radio interview he wants to “dismantle” the EPA.
