POTUS Trump Blasts Father of UCLA Basketball Player For Dismissing Role in Securing Son’s Release From China

President Trump unloaded on LaVar Ball, the father of UCLA basketball LiAngelo Ball, for dismissing his role in getting his son released from China after being arrested for shoplifting.

“Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!,” tweeted President Trump.
Unlike George Bush, Trump won't be dismissed, ridiculed or taken for granted
LaVar Ball has this to say after a reporter asked him his thoughts on President Trump’s role in getting his son out of hot water:

“Who?” LaVar Ball told ESPN Friday. “What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”

Lavar Ball’s eldest son, Lonzo Ball, was picked second overall in last June’s NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

The trio of UCLA players were detained in China on Nov. 7 after they were accused of shoplifting from three stores.

Trump aide Dan Scavino unloaded on Ball over his disrespectful comments.

“Wannabe @Lakers coach, BIG MOUTH @Lavarbigballer knows if it weren’t for President @realDonaldTrump, his son would be in China for a long, long, long time! #FACT,” tweeted Scavino.

UCLA basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley were arrested for shoplifting sunglasses during a trip to Shanghai for a game against Georgia Tech. President Trump tweeted Wednesday that the players were facing 10 years in prison, despite earlier reports that they would serve 20 days under house arrest.

At a press conference Wednesday, Cody Riley thanked President Trump for securing his release.

“To President Trump and the United States government, thank you for taking the time to intervene on our behalf,” UCLA basketball player Cody Riley said.

UCLA men’s basketball coach Steve Alford said “I can’t thank enough the incredible folks here at UCLA, at the Pac-12 and even President Trump and his administration for the nonstop efforts to resolve this situation.”

Ed. HUH? EVEN President Trump?  EVEN, Coach Alford? The folks at UCLA were “incredible.” As for the President of the United States…well, even he did OK?

Donald Trump will not abide contempt. He refuses to tolerate abuse.  It is the extraordinary difference between the character and courage of Donald Trump and the perpetual cowardice of well-known GOP wussies that has begun to cause a few other Republicans to finally act like MEN rather than weaklings.  Sure…the Party sell-outs continue to be sell-outs, often more for political reasons than pure-bread cowardice or irresponsibility. But thank goodness, a MAN is finally taking the lead. And others, like Moore, are doing the same.

At last a Republican president is walking and talking like a man; the first since Ronald Reagan.  Others are beginning to follow suit. I believe it will become a trend...a very welcome trend.
