Independence Day Prayer From a United States Marine

AHOY Marines! "School circle, ready seat, adjust."

I will make this short, I know you all have a 96 hour pass burning a hole in your pocket, and the bus will be here soon to get you on the road to family and friends for the 4th of July Holiday Weekend.

Question: "Why is it you and I have never received a BILL for our freedoms?"

Answer: "Someone else has already paid the price, usually with their shed blood."

We mark this weekend for celebration of our Nations 241st birthday, as well we should. But let us call to mind not only those natural battles fought and won, but also the spiritual battle our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ fought and won for us at Calvary's Hill on the Old Wooden Cross, where He shed His Holy Blood for our complete Redemption. This opened the door for us to be born again and enter into relationship and fellowship with Almighty God. YES, the eternal price has been paid for us, our BILL is stamped,"Paid in Full." !!! Glory to God !!!

All we need do is place our faith and trust in Jesus' completed work. EPH 2:8-9 says,"For by Grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of (our) works, lest any man should boast." Romans 10:9-10 goes on to say,"That if you shall confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Vs.11 "Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed and Vs.13 For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved."

Stand to your feet and let us close in prayer. Repeat after me, out loud and from your heart, "Almighty God and Father, I believe You raised Jesus from the dead and I call upon His Name now, I confess with my mouth Jesus is LORD and thank You for my salvation in His Name. Fill me now with your Holy Spirit to over flowing praise, in Jesus Name AMEN."

Lets continue to remember our deployed Marines and their families in our times of prayer as well as President Trump. We are commanded to pray for all men and those in authority in 1 Timothy 2:1-4. Do it by faith, not by your feelings.

God Bless you, the Corps and the USA. The bus just pulled up, you are dismissed.
