Mainstream Media’s Weapons of Mass Deception
By Mike Dempsey, California Center for Self-Governance Student
Terrorism comes in many forms. When terrorism is mentioned our first thought is radical Islamic terrorists, but we have home grown domestic terrorism in several forms in the U.S. today.
Environmental terrorism has stopped the flow of water to the San Joaquin Valley in CA, to the destruction of jobs, farms and food production.
Race baiters have learned how to terrorize cities and shakedown corporations for large sums of money.
The moving target of gender identity has implemented the economic shakedown of small businesses, fueled by blatant intolerance for diversity of thought or religious conviction. This brand of economic terrorism has disguised itself as the victim, destroying businesses and eliminating the previously protected First Amendment freedom of conscience for the American business owner.
Abortion proponents have condoned institutionalized murder for decades as they terrorize innocent victims who have no choice to live.
The Left has hijacked higher education and terrorized our generation with political correctness, altered history and bogus scientific data, each contributing to the demise of truth and common sense.
The common ally in all these forms of homegrown terrorism is…the national mainstream media (CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post and sometimes FOX News). They often use innuendo, half-truths and the sword of political correctness to butcher truth and promote the many forms of domestic terrorism.
“Do not fear the enemy, for your enemy can only take your life. It is far better that you fear the media, for they will steal your honor. That awful power, the public opinion of a nation, is created in America by a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons…” -Mark Twain (1835-1910)
Apparently the press was not highly regarded even a century ago. Unfortunately, the horde has added 'biased' to its credentials. Liberal spin has become a new art form to promote their agenda.
“Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people.” -Socrates
The mainstream media’s attempt at dumbing Americans over the years has contributed to creating a portion of the population that is easily swayed. The news media intentionally focuses on the minutiae of every detail of the President’s day, as if it were producing a 24-hour reality TV show for entertainment value instead of educating the public with news. Where the President-elect ate, what he ate, blah, blah, blah is really irrelevant. To be shadowed 24/7 seems a bit over the top. If he wants to have a quiet dinner with the wife, leave him alone.
Yet the media claim they must be constantly on scene lest they fail to inform the public of a history-making moment. Translation: They’re afraid to miss a possible Pulitzer Prize winning photograph of the president reading a story to children. Meanwhile, important world stories are spiked--such as Christian genocide in the Middle East--because it does not fit the liberal narrative of Muslims Good, Christians Bad. The serious stuff of governance is overlooked or, as in most cases, second-guessed by people who have been responsible for nothing more important than a deadline.
Those populating the mainstream media are the progeny of a dysfunctional and biased university system, which ironically hates capitalism, entrepreneurs and the traditional values of millions of Americans who get up every morning to drive the economy. Who do they think generates the income that builds the buildings at their universities? The saying is true, “Dogs don’t bark at parked cars.” These ‘journalists’ can’t comprehend the responsibilities of an entrepreneur, they don’t understand the American work ethic, yet they
smugly continue to bark.
Most blue-collar workers did not learn from PhDs, but from trade schools and the hard knocks of a productive daily life. They don’t operate or make decisions on theory, but by using problem solving skills and common sense.
The story of a national convention of intellectuals with IQs of 140 or higher illustrates the point. Several among the group went out for lunch at a local cafe. When they sat down, one of them discovered that their salt shaker contained pepper, and their pepper shaker was full of salt. How could they swap the contents of the two bottles without spilling any, and using only the implements at hand? Clearly, this was a problem that only talented minds could solve.
The group debated the problem, presented ideas, and finally came up with a brilliant solution involving a napkin, a straw, and an empty saucer. They called the waitress over, ready to dazzle her with their solution. "Ma'am," they said, "we couldn't help but notice that the pepper shaker contains salt and the salt shaker has pepper." But before they could finish, the waitress interrupted. "Oh, sorry about that." She leaned over the table, unscrewed the caps of both bottles and switched them. There was dead silence at the table of geniuses.
We forget that this country was built on the shoulders of everyday folks with common sense. There is a significant difference between the theories of the intellectual elites and the ‘street smarts’ of the everyday American. This simple fact was missed not only by the pundits and polls, but also by the media frenzy surrounding their bias for one candidate. As the country song goes…’wrong again’.
“The most important political office is that of private citizen.” -Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis
Unfortunately, the regular guy has been so busy making a living for the last few decades, that he has abdicated his responsibility as a citizen to a parasitical and hedonistic political class, comprised also of so called intellectual elites.
“The media doesn’t just support Hillary, they are Hillary.” -Newt Gingrich, 2016
As Newt further pointed out, it’s “the media against social media.” These two observations basically mean three things in this war for honesty and sanity in government and the public forums.
First of all, We are the social media, which is synonymous with grass roots. The ‘silent majority’ is finally “mad as hell and will not take it anymore.” Finally! It has taken 40 years for that prophetic line from the movie ‘Network’ to sink in and it was manifested on Nov. 8th.
“The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no more.” -Donald J. Trump, election night, Nov. 8th, 2016
Secondly, it means the ‘forgotten men and women’ have finally noticed the fact that the media and politicians in general are in an incestuous relationship. The Secretary of So-in-So’s wife is the bureau chief for the Blah-Blah news network. These kinds of relationships have been documented for years, but its exposure has been widespread of late, thanks to whistleblowers and social media. It seems the mainstream media underestimated the intelligence and awareness of the American people they worked to deceive.
Therefore, the final conclusion is that what you hear in the mainstream media is corrupt, because the good ole boy network in ‘The Beltway’ is grossly corrupt. (There may be a syllogism of sorts there…not sure.) One more time, as Deepthroat said it’s…‘Follow the money’.
“It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.” –President Ronald Reagan
The political Left and the their official mouthpiece, the mainstream media, have shamelessly exposed themselves as one in the same. In their ‘striking resemblance to the oldest profession’, the media has made no secret that they fully intend to go after Trump. In essence, they are coming after you and me for being smart enough to see through their sad charade and confront their collusion. The hubris and utter contempt they have for Middle America is on display. Now if that doesn’t make you ‘mad as hell’, check for a pulse.
Which begs the final question. Why is there such astounding vitriol from the media for Trump? The only thing I can come up with is that their hatred is fueled by jealously. In a nutshell, Trump’s popularity is because he fearlessly speaks the truth and the media doesn’t…anymore.
Some of America’s real domestic terrorists have press badges, but the people have shown they are wise to the abuse of the First Amendment. The people have prevailed and the press is running scared.
